Overview

Tushirikiane development organization (TUDO) is a non-governmental organization registered and operating in Kenya. TUDO has four main intervention areas including Access to basic education and skill development, food security and livelihood protection, conflict resolution and peace building and General advocacy in FGM, SGBV, Drug and substance abuse, youth radicalization and violent extremism. The organization also participates in emergency response and disaster management activities. TUDO has partnered with Save the Children International (SCI) and Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) as an implementing partner in the Accelerated Education (AE). AEP targets slightly overage, out-of-school children within the refugee camps in Dadaab, to help provide access to quality, safe and Inclusive learning opportunities in a protective environment.

Brief Description

Under the overall supervision   of the education Officer, the Teacher will perform   the following tasks in the framework of TUDO’s Education activities in the camps.

• Teaching and preparation of relevant learning concepts and contents to carry out the training.
• Preparation and keeping of professional records of the work covered and students   evaluation   records
• Maintaining    in good order and record, the training   materials, tools and equipment
• Participating   in co-curricular    activities, maintaining    trainee   discipline   as well as guidance and counseling   of the trainees.
• Carry out mobilization and enrolment of learners into the program.
• Regularly updating the supervisor   on the progress of the teaching and learning activities
• Carrying out tests and exams on the program and share the results to the senior teacher
